Fourth Creek Visual Arts Collective

Statesville, North Carolina

A home for Statesville's artists, and for the people who come to see their work.

Fourth Creek Visual Arts Collective is a nonprofit organization in formation. We are planning exhibitions, talks and workshops, a public artist directory, and a newsletter for our community.

What we are building

Four programs, each in planning. Dates will be announced to the list first.

Our purpose

Fourth Creek Visual Arts Collective supports emerging and established artists in Statesville through exhibitions, talks and workshops, a public artist directory, and a regular newsletter. Our long-term goal is a permanent home for local art: a gallery, a museum, and a sculpture garden.

Our name

Statesville began as the Fourth Creek settlement, named for the fourth stream west of Salisbury. The community took the name Statesville in 1789. We chose Fourth Creek because the work we are planning starts in the same place: here, with the people who live here.
